PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

The children involved in this programme will come away with a good feeling that will last all day and they will take away tools that they can use at any point. Here is the reason why:

  • The Safari: We will be giggling our way through the session, on an imaginary safari journey, where we impersonate animals’ laughter (Monkey Hohoho!) – this sort of laughter enhances creativity and focus, allowing children to perform better in school and other activities.
  • Laughter Pause Box: We will be introducing the ‘Laughter Pause Box’, giving children something to use in their homes after the session is finished for the moments when they need to have a chuckle and release some stress and anxiety.
  • Day-to-Day: We will be talking about the time when it might be good to ‘have a really good laugh’ – giving children the responsibility to look after their own mental wellbeing in day-to-day life is so important in today’s world.
  • The Physical Act of Laughter: When we laugh together in this session, we will be boosting the immune system and improving our overall physical health, making children less susceptible to colds and illness and feeling stronger in themselves.
  • The Positive Outlook: Laughter is a really fun and joyful activity, so this session will increase overall happiness and wellbeing. When we giggle and laugh out loud, we release endorphins – these help to give children a positive and happy outlook on life.
