With just one full-time head, we are a small family-centred charity, with a proven, demonstrable and transparent focus on impact. The Muscle Help Foundation (MHF) charity works tirelessly to help fulfil the cherished dreams and aspirations of children and young people (8-28yrs) with the muscle wasting disease, Muscular Dystrophy (MD).

Testimonials from our beneficiaries and their families, in addition to MHF’s amazing volunteers (the life-blood of the charity) and others are testament to the impact and difference, with your support, we make.

As of May 2023, MHF will have delivered 473 Muscle Dream experiences (made up of our new virtual interventions as a result of COVID-19), in addition to our pre COVID-19 unique (singular) and programme based activities (several beneficiaries & their families), for children and young people with Muscular Dystrophy (MD). MHF has touched the lives of 1000’s of people across the UK, from families & local communities to schools, clubs, churches & businesses – our impact and reach continues to grow.

All Muscle Dream interventions are evaluated (both quantitatively & qualitatively). Our impact can be seen in several ways – from improved confidence, greater self-esteem, and an increased sense of hopefulness to a powerful collective identity that connects families together giving them an essential platform to share knowledge. Additionally, unforgettable memories and lasting friendships are established.
