WHAT IS THE road2ironman MHF TEAM CHALLENGE?

nextgeneration02

In encouraging the ethos and spirit that is triathlon, a newly formed triathlon team came together to test themselves at the Royal Windsor Olympic Distance Triathlon [June 11th 2006]

For 5 members of this team, the story will continue through to the Kärnten Ironman Austria Triathlon [July 8th 2007] taking in the UK Half Ironman [June 18th 2006] and the London Triathlon [August 6th 2006] en route – you too can be a part of The road2ironman MHF Team Challenge

“USE MUSCLE TO SAVE MUSCLE” is this events engaging tagline reinforcing our charities vision that is to see a world free of muscle disorders. By supporting this team’s effort, you will be helping those for whom everyday is a superhuman effort, all in itself

The 656 muscles that we each have, do everything from enabling our lungs to breathe, our hearts to beat, we’re able to smile, walk and RUN … precisely what this team is now doing, whilst at the same time raising vital funds for the work that we do

“The ability to make a difference starts with the human spirit” – Dr Justin Roberts is a senior lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire. Lecturing in Sport and Exercise Sciences, with a particular interest in performance nutrition and physiology, he is a trustee of The Muscular Help Foundation, having previously supported Michael McGrath through the provision of nutritional advice and guidance in the lead up to his Antarctica Expedition, part of pole2pole

road2ironman – a test of mental and physical stamina, of desire, determination and a tenacious will to reach beyond

On behalf of Justin, his fellow triathlon team members and The Muscular Help Foundation, thank you for your support
