The nomination process for The Muscle Help Foundation’s 2020 Porsche Muscle Dream Driving Experience Programme is now open – we wish everyone the best of luck!
Know someone with muscular dystrophy (MD) aged between 10 & 28yrs old? Please share this so that as many children and young people with MD across the UK hear about this opportunity and can either be nominated or self-nominate (if over 18yrs) to participate in our 10th annual Porsche Muscle Dream Driving Experience programme … 10th anniversary, 10 beneficiaries, 10 life-changing experiences!
We’re looking to confirm ten (10) young Muscle Warrior hopefuls to join this year’s special anniversary experience on Mon 8 – Tues 9 June 2020. The event includes one (1) overnight stay (Mon 8th June) at the award-winning 4 star Whittlebury Park, situated just 10 minutes from Silverstone.
You will need to complete all the fields in the online form below and as part of your submission, you will need to tell us in either 150 words or a 30secs vlog how much you love Porsche cars … and of course what it would mean to you and your family to win a place on this year’s VIP 10th anniversary programme. To clinch your place, show us how much of a petrol-head you really are! Make us roar with laughter! Impress us!
Should any beneficiaries need a little support, then we encourage Mum’s, Dad’s, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunties, carers, PA’s etc to help with the submission process – be creative & have some fun!
♦ Minimum age = 10yrs, maximum age = 28yrs
♦ We will inform successful nominees by phone within 1 week of the nominations deadline date
♦ The charity’s decision is final
This year (2020), there are ten (10) beneficiary places available. For each beneficiary, a max of two (2) places are available ie. for parents / brothers / sisters / guardians / carers / PA’s
Note: we do recognize that occasionally a 2nd carer is required to assist a beneficiary. If this is the case, please let the charity know. We will always try to do our absolute best to accommodate.
Priority is given to young people (boys & girls) who have NOT been the recipient of either a unique Muscle Dream or one of the charity’s Muscle Dream programmes in the last 2 years (24 months)
As with all Muscle Dreams, our beneficiaries are defined as children & young people in the UK with Muscular Dystrophy (MD) & allied neuromuscular conditions
Mobility in terms of transferring / being assisted by a parent / guardian / carer into a Porsche is important – normal car seats will be used as opposed to bucket-style seats as these are less rigid and therefore more comfortable. As such, reasonable upper torso, head and neck rotation / movement will ensure maximum beneficiary enjoyment of this experience.
Should you have any questions whatsoever, please contact the charity. We will discuss in detail what possibilities exist in order for all beneficiaries to safely participate.
Possession of portable hoists and slings (if required) to enable ease of transfer into/out of different vehicle types, in addition to hoisting on/off beds & toilets etc will need to be brought by families. The charity does not provide any equipment as part of its Muscle Dream activities.
As in previous years, the programme will be filmed and photographed; the charity will require written consent by parents (for those under 18yrs).

The full schedule along with other surprises will be revealed on day one of the programme
The group will come together at Whittlebury Park outside Towester (10mins from Silverstone) for a mid-morning check-in, registration, briefing and relaxing light lunch. We will then depart in convoy to the Porsche Experience Centre arriving around 4/4:30pm for a group photo-shoot followed by refreshments and a ‘back-to-school’ fun classroom-style Muscle Warrior group briefing.
Passenger laps in 911’s may consist of three elements, namely:
1) handling circuit 2) the kick-plate and 3) the low friction zone – more on the day!
Safety first and foremost and beneficiary comfort are of paramount importance – our aim is to ensure beneficiaries have an amazing, once in a lifetime experience!
Indemnity forms must be completed along with the charity’s Medical Recipient and Muscle Dream Profile forms, all of which will be emailed once beneficiary placement confirmations have been made.
The experience will end with our now celebrated on-track group photo, followed by prize-giving & presentations. We will then all depart together in convoy back to Whittlebury Park; time to freshen up before our VIP Group Muscle Warrior Celebratory Dinner.
Detailed accommodation arrangements will be made in advance of the programme for each beneficiary to stay-overnight. Accommodation includes a full English-breakfast the following morning. Depart at your leisure.
