Disabilinet.com is a new social media community website which has just been launched specifically for people with, or affected by disability.

The successful global entrepreneur Mike Simmonds, who has extensive experience in the field of mobility and disability, originated the Disabilinet.com concept. Subscribers will not only include people living with medical conditions, but will encompass associated families, friends, parents and carers with an interest in helping improve accessibility, well being and social inclusion.

Michael McGrath, Co-founder of The Muscle Help Foundation has endorsed Disabilinet. Michael comments: “We are delighted to be supporting this new and exciting social media site and believe the purpose of Disabilinet is sound. There is clearly a need on the internet for a media-rich environment specifically for people affected by disability that provides a safe environment in which to share viewpoints, experiences and knowledge. In my organisation we regularly deploy the ‘stronger together’ mission statement which also resonates in the world of Disabilinet. If more people can be encouraged to subscribe for free, then Disabilinet will become more invaluable and help improve many, many lives affected by disability.”
