WHO IS DELIVERING THIS PROGRAMME:
Facilitated by experienced improv comedy teacher Ed Pithie who has been delivering improv workshops and activities for 8 years with Dingbats Improv, his focus will be on creating a supportive environment where beneficiaries will feel comfortable and safe, where everyone will have lots of fun. Fundamentally, Ed believes that everyone is creative and that they can express themselves through the medium of improvisation. Ed has taught improv to hundreds of people and is yet to be proven wrong!
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE ONLINE SESSION?
There will be a selection of group games and exercises designed to be a lot of fun to play with the aim of introducing participants to various improv skills. From icebreakers to a variety of interactive and fun improv games, participants will also engage with some group storytelling!
WHY IMPROV COMEDY & THE ‘IMPROV-MINDSET’:
As well as being a lot of fun and a brilliant way to relax, this virtual programme will introduce participants to the benefits of incorporating an ‘improv-mindset’ into your life to improve mental wellbeing, making everyday a little easier, a little lighter, perhaps a little sillier and certainly a little more fun!
YOUR STORY TURNED INTO A UNIQUE ‘IMPROV’ POSTER:
As well as the less physical takeaways from the session, participants will also have one of their stories from the session turned into a unique poster by illustrator Martin Connaughton. Martin is an illustrator who creates bespoke artwork. He provides illustrated content for the @liverpool_seasons page on Instagram. Click here to see some of Martin’s work.
