MHF's fundraising activities are focused on both income and awareness generation.
MHF aims to work with and support like-minded organisations that are directly involved in muscle disorder research and/or education. Relationships have been established with a number of leading neuromuscular specialists in ascertaining what level of funding is required to make more of a difference in these areas.
MHF deeply appreciates all donations whether online or offline.
MHF is a registered charity in the eyes of English Charity Law and as granted by the UK Charity Commission [Registered Charity No. 1096716]
Thanks to recent legislation, all donations to registered charities can be made tax efficient through a simple Gift Aid declaration - which won't cost you a penny. Stocks and shares are now included in the Gift Aid scheme, and can be offset against personal or Corporation Tax liabilities.
Higher rate taxpayers can also gain benefits against their annual tax assessment. Donations can be made in a number of ways, but regular support through banker's standing order is particularly appreciated, and one Gift Aid declaration can cover all future donations.
If you have given MHF permission to reclaim tax on donations you decide to make now or in the future, you may withdraw your permission at any time. If you do so, MHF will still be able to claim back tax until we hear from you. If your tax status should change now or in the future, please let MHF know so that we can adjust our claims accordingly. If you wish to withdraw your permission, please email MHF by clicking here
You must always have paid an amount of income tax (or capital gains tax) at least equal to the value of the tax we reclaim on your behalf. MHF will reclaim a sum equal to around 28p for every £1 you donate.
